Job Title: CONTRACT Backend Web Developer (WordPress, DIVI, ACF Pro and APIs)

Location: Remote, US (Central Time Zone working hours)

Availability: Start immediately for 2-4 week project, 40 hours per week

FSLA: Hourly (please indicate your salary expectations in hourly amounts on the application)

Overview

We are seeking an immediately available skilled Backend Web Developer with extensive experience in WordPress, DIVI and ACF Pro to support an upcoming website launch project. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with our Digital Manager, front-end web developers, web authors, designers, and content writers to ensure a seamless and successful launch.

Key Responsibilities
 

• API Integration and Development: Design, develop, and integrate APIs to enhance
   

website functionality and connectivity.
 

• Custom Tag Management System: Develop and optimize custom tag management
   

system to enable personalized content feeds on various web pages.
 

• Custom PHP Coding: Write and maintain custom PHP code as required for specific
   

functionalities and features.
 

• Collaboration: Work closely with the Digital Manager to align backend development
   

with overall project goals and timelines.
 

• Support Front-End Team: Provide backend support to front-end web developers to
   

ensure cohesive and efficient website functionality.
 

• Content Integration: Collaborate with web authors and content writers to integrate
   

dynamic content and personalized feeds.
 

• Quality Assurance: Ensure all backend code is secure, efficient, and meets the highest
   

quality standards.
 

• Performance Optimization: Optimize backend processes and database queries for
   

improved website performance and user experience.

Required Qualifications
 

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in backend web development with WordPress and the DIVI theme.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in HTML5, PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript. Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
• Tag Management: Demonstrated experience with tag management systems (e.g., Google Tag Manager) and personalized content feeds.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex backend issues.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
   

Preferred Qualifications
 

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications in web development, WordPress, or PHP.
• Experience: Previous experience in supporting large-scale website launches.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g.: HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and design principles.
