Job Overview And Responsibilities
As part of the Airport Experience team, this individual will work very closely to support and enhance various applications that helps serving millions of customers at the airport. The Manager will apply proven technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, resolve issues, find opportunities of improvement.
Supervise a team of United developers and vendors (onshore and offshore)
Lead the design, development, and planning for solutions and technology standards to solve complex business and IT problems
Hands-on development, support and troubleshooting software systems as required, optimizing performance, resolving problems, and providing follow-up on all issues and solutions
Responsible for communication of progress to senior IT and Business leadership
Develop goals and team development plan for the team
Provide cost estimates and business case updates
Coordinate with other internal teams for troubleshooting and resolution of any application issues
Responsible for software development during the design/build phases of the SDLC
Perform as technical lead on development projects
Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of development methodologies, software design and design patterns, integration standards as well as its applicability at coding and testing cycles
Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements
Responsible for making sure in-progress builds follow the approved designs
Provides support to the engineers, architects, during design, implementation, and operationalization at airports.
Participates actively in Agile ceremonies and provide updates.
Demonstrate knowledge of software engineering best practices such as: version controlling, software packaging and software release management
Task Planning, delivery tracking, reporting
Develop, Support and troubleshoot software systems as required, help optimizing performance, analyzing & resolving problems, and providing follow-up on all issues and solutions according to the ITSM practices
Participates actively in Incident Bridge calls, agile ceremonies and provide updates
Completes version controlling, software packaging and software release management
Applies Secure coding practices, remediates vulnerabilities and scanning issues
This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded. This position is for United Airlines Business Services Pvt. Ltd - a wholly owned subsidiary of United Airlines Inc.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems and/or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience in Planning and delivery Management, Resource Management, .Net, Git, AWS (e.g. EKS, DynamoDB, RDS, Lambda), Agile
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
Preferred
Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems
7+ years' experience in Datadog/Dynatrace, Angular, CI/CD - Harness/TeamCity, SonarQube,
