We are looking for a meticulous and driven professional to join our team in EMA region as a Payroll and Expenses Accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of EMA payroll and expenses, ensuring accurate and timely payments in compliance with contractual obligations and SLAs.
You will play a crucial part in risk mitigation and internal control management within the EMA payroll and expenses domain, as well as ensuring seamless communication within the payroll and expense operations. Your role will also involve providing essential support for the preparation of financial reports, forecasts, and plans, adhering to both local GAAP and US GAAP requirements. If you are passionate about ensuring financial accuracy and operational efficiency, this position is ideal for you.
BACKGROUND And EXPERIENCE
Studying for, already completed or genuinely willing and keen to undertake study for a recognised payroll qualification
Demonstrate ability to drive improvement.
Ability to promote strong communication link with local finance managers and third party contacts (including social security, pension etc.).
Proven and substantial experience of running international payroll(s)
Demonstrable experience of multi-currency electronic expense systems
An understanding of how to mitigate risk within the payroll arena supported by a good awareness of International payroll tax
Ability to generate international payroll by preparing needed information for outsourced payroll company ADP.
Proven examples of desire to actively participate in process based improvement.
Able to work confidently and effectively with computer based accounting systems.
Knowledge of internal control practice.
Proven to be able to work effectively to strict deadlines.

NATURE OF THE JOB
Demonstrate ability to drive Elliott Group business without continuous improvement.
Responsible for the preparation of all monthly payroll submissions to the external payroll provider.
Responsible for the payroll and expense controls.
Develop and control all compliance aspects of payroll and expenses.
Understand and develop continuous improvement practices.
Responsible for managing the payroll interface to the external payroll provider, the electronic expense system and the interface of both to the ERP system.
Ensures that compliance guidelines relating to Payroll and Expenses (e.g. personal tax due expense payments which are not tax free in certain jurisdictions) are adhered to
Provide support and guidance to local operations and staff on payroll and expense related queries
Responsible for the timely payment of all salaries and expenses.
Responsible for the timely and accurate submission of all tax payments on behalf of the staff and company in relation to payroll
Responsible for the timely and accurate submission of all tax filings and documentation.
Contact With Others
Appropriate and regular contact with local finance managers and regional finance manager on all major issues.
Continuous contact with the finance managers on gathering the payroll data and dealing with expense protocols and issues.
Continuous contact with product (i.e. operating) managers and their staff.
Liaises with counterparts in the U.S. & Europe
Exposure to both internal and external auditors.
Contact with the external payroll provider.
Contact with computer support company in respect of the local area network (L.A.N.)
Contact with various banks and financial institutions.
Contact with government departments in countries where Elliott has a payroll scheme and lawyers.
