We are are looking for a Service Technician, based in Doha, Qatar and reporting to the Operations Superintendent. The purpose of the job is to repair and to conduct maintenance work for MacGregor product range, plus foreign maker cargo access and other related equipment. The role also suggest applying mechanical theory and related knowledge to test and modify operational machinery and equipment.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Main objective is to carry out efficient maintenance, and repairs thus maintaining customer confidence in MacGregor
• Independent working methods
• Awareness of the profitability of the Branch
• Continuous development of own skills
• Carrying out planned and corrective maintenance/repairs, including onboard inspections of equipment according to MacGregor Service Operating Principles Manual
• Provide information and write reports as required.
• Carry out port sales
• Job management of the subcontractors

What you’ll need to succeed

• Vocational diploma in engineering or equivalent
• 1+ years direct experience as a technician in marine business or similar equipment
• Hydraulic system/component knowledge,Proficiency in PC based word processing and spreadsheets
• Ability to comprehend, speak and write the English language
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Ability to interface with all levels of staff
• Demonstrated initiative to visualize, organize, manage and complete projects in individual and group settings
